Getting started How do I start my first project?
Create a project from the project selector or Projects. Choose a preset for a useful starting structure, or Blank to select modules yourself. Overview shows the project roadmap and next steps. Existing projects are not replaced when you create another.
Account I cannot sign in or verify my email
Use Forgot your password on the sign-in page to request a reset. New accounts must verify their email before signing in. Request another verification email if the link has expired. Check your spam folder. If you are still blocked, contact support using the email below; never send your password.
Team What is the difference between a project role and a site administrator?
Project owners and project admins manage their project and team. Editors work on content; viewers have read access. Site administration is reserved for the GameInDev operator and is separate from project roles. A project invitation does not grant site administration access.
Getting started Will a preset change my existing projects?
Presets provide a starting structure for a new project. Your saved presets contain module, collection, navigation and onboarding structure. They do not move content from existing projects, and editing a preset does not rewrite projects you already created.
Planning How do Resource Graph and Narrative Flow relate to my content?
Resource Graph helps plan resources, stations and production chains. Narrative Flow maps story routes and planning connections. Nodes can link to existing content. The linked item, character or story entry remains its source of truth; graph notes provide planning context. These are planning tools, not a runtime game engine.
Planning Why do I see NPCs and Characters, or Zones and Locations?
Projects can combine built-in modules and editable collections from their preset. Similar names may represent different structures. Use the area your project already uses, or adjust project navigation. Renaming or hiding navigation is different from deleting content.
Loke Does Loke require my own API key?
Loke uses a supported AI provider connection. You can configure a personal connection, or use a connection explicitly shared with your project. Provider usage may cost money on the connected provider account. GameInDev does not include provider credits. Never paste API keys into a support request or ordinary chat message.
Privacy Is my project public?
Workspace content is private to authorized accounts. A public project page appears only when an authorized project manager publishes it. Publishing creates a selected, sanitized snapshot; editing private content does not automatically republish the public page.
Account Whose plan determines a project’s limits?
Project limits are based on the project owner’s account. Joining somebody else’s project does not make you its owner. Account limits and role permissions are separate: additional capacity does not grant site administration access.
Account How do I export or remove my information?
Account settings provides your profile export and account controls. Account removal, project removal and leaving a team have different consequences. Review the displayed impact before confirming any removal. If you cannot access your account or need help with an export, contact support.
Support How do support requests work?
Signed-in users can open Help & support to send a request and reply in the same conversation. Replies and unread indicators appear inside GameInDev. Support is asynchronous; there is no live-chat availability promise. Your requests belong to your account and remain accessible when you change projects. Archiving hides an item from your inbox without deleting its conversation.
Need a hand?
If you can sign in, open a support request to keep the conversation together. For account access problems, email us. Please do not include passwords or API keys.
